Omni Shoreham Hotel |, Washington, DC

To all of those who joined us at our 50th Anniversary Reunion:

We want to thank you for joining us at the events in Washington, D.C. on Monday. We are delighted (and gratified) by the outpouring of support and everyone’s longstanding dedication to the Committee and we hope to continue to keep you engaged in our events and programs for years to come.

For the history buffs among you, a report written by the first two National Committee staff members, Pamela and Robert Mang, on the early history of the National Committee and the American domestic political context at the time can be found here. Additionally, an article about the history of the Committee from 1971 to the mid-1980s can be found here

Whether your initial experience with China came through participating in a National Committee program or whether we have helped you deepen and strengthen your connection to China, the fact remains that stable, constructive U.S.-China relations are one of today’s most important global issues, and the National Committee’s work is more needed than ever. We very much appreciate those of you who have already contributed to the Committee in this anniversary year. If you haven’t yet done so but want to support us in our 50th Anniversary year, please click here.

We look forward to keeping in touch, and seeing you soon at one of our programs!

Sincerely,
Steve and Jan
