Marc Berger joined the National Committee in June 2009 after receiving an M.A. in East Asian Languages and Cultures from Columbia University. He worked closely with the President of the National Committee as his assistant for two years before becoming Communications and Program Officer. In that capacity, Mr. Berger organizes the Policy Leaders Orientation Program for both U.S.- and PRC-based Chinese foreign service officers and the Student Leaders Exchange program. He is also responsible for the President’s media appearances and supports the Director of Communications on a variety of projects.
Before coming to New York, Mr. Berger worked for What Kids Can Do and Next Generation Press in Boston. He studied and lived in China for over two years, participating in the Inter-University Program at Tsinghua University and teaching at New Channel Beijing. Mr. Berger graduated with high honors from Wesleyan University.
