Who are China’s leaders? How do they think? What are the implications for China’s future? Robert Lawrence Kuhn discussed his latest book How China’s Leaders Think: The Inside Story of China’s Reform and What This Means for the Future (John Wiley & Sons, 2009) on January 12. Kuhn draws on exclusive interviews with over 100 Chinese leaders, providing an insider’s view on what China’s current and future leaders think about trade, business, finance, media, diplomacy and more.

Dr. Kuhn is an international investment banker and corporate strategist. He is the author or editor of more than 25 books, including The Man Who Changed China: The Life and Legacy of Jiang Zemin (Crown, 2005) and China’s Banking and Financial Markets: The Internal Research Report of the Chinese Government (John Wiley & Sons, 2007). He contributes regularly to BusinessWeek, CNBC, Bloomberg, Chief Executive, and People’s Daily. He is senior adviser to multinational companies, including Disney and Citigroup, and a partner in CCTV-IMG Sports Management Co. He holds a doctorate in brain research (University of California, Los Angeles) and a masters in management (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). Dr. Kuhn is chairman of The Kuhn Foundation, which produces Closer To Truth, the public television series on the meaning of state-of-the-art science.
