The National Committee’s membership includes over 800 prominent Americans from all parts of the country. They represent many viewpoints, but share the belief that increased public knowledge of China, U.S.-China relations, and developments in Greater China is vital to the common future of both peoples.

Members are invited to the Annual Members Meeting and Gala Dinner, as well as to a variety of programs and events held throughout the year (many open only to members and their guests), and have access to the Committee’s staff. In turn, the National Committee relies on members for program assistance, hospitality, and financial support.

Under the organization’s bylaws and governing policies, membership is by nomination only and is limited to U.S. citizens. A candidate for membership must be nominated by a current member; nominations are reviewed annually by the Membership Committee and are subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
