2018 U.S. Foreign Policy Colloquium

Seventy-five Chinese Ph.D., M.A., and professional school students from universities across the United States convened in Washington, D.C., at the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs for the 2018 U.S. Foreign Policy Colloquium. Participants had the unique opportunity to interact with current and former administration officials, including U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine L. Chao, as well as members of Congress and representatives from academia, think tanks, media, business, and lobbying groups. Off-site visits to foreign policy-making and/or influencing institutions, such as the National Security Council, U.S. Department of State, and Human Rights Watch, along with a Q&A session with diplomats from the Chinese Embassy, rounded out this comprehensive four-day program.
