Senior Communications and Production Associate

Prayuj Pushkarna is a communications and production associate at the National Committee, where he is responsible for video and audio production of digital media.

Before joining the National Committee, Mr. Pushkarna was a Fulbright research fellow in Taiwan, where he researched international education as a tool of national soft power. He has also worked at the Council on Foreign Relations, where he wrote multimedia educational lessons on foreign policy topics for a non-specialist audience, and as a research assistant for journalist Isaac Stone Fish. Mr. Pushkarna has worked in a variety of Mandarin-language environments, both in Taiwan, where he tracked Taiwan’s COVID-19 vaccination progress with a Taiwanese start-up public health organization, and in mainland China, where he was a management intern at the U.S. Consulate in Chengdu.

Mr. Pushkarna graduated from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service with a degree in regional and comparative studies. He speaks and writes Mandarin, Hindi, and Urdu and is learning Japanese. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking, and KTV.
