60 Years of Impact

We are an organization that makes history.
In 1966, our founders – a coalition of scholars, civic and business leaders, and religious figures – believed it was important for America to engage with the world. They also believed it was essential that Americans know more about China.
The National Committee on U.S.-China Relations was the first to offer public education and forums that shared balanced information about China, allowing for open, nonpartisan discussions about the prospect of bilateral relations.
These initial initiatives, coupled with our sponsorship of the Chinese table tennis team’s visit to the United States in 1972, helped open the door to diplomatic contact several years later.
We’ve played a leading role in bilateral relations ever since and this year, we’re commemorating our 60th anniversary.
Celebrate With Us
Help us celebrate our 60th anniversary by making a tax-deductible gift today.
At a time when bilateral engagement is more important than ever, the National Committee will continue to serve as a trusted platform. Your individual gift helps us:
- Continue to shape dialogue about the world’s most consequential relationship for policymakers, educators, business leaders, and the public
- Create opportunities for Americans and Chinese to engage thoughtfully and build meaningful relationships
If your company is interested in becoming a corporate sponsor, please contact our development office at 212-645-2576 or development@ncuscr.org for more information on the National Committee’s corporate member program and sponsorship benefits.
