Schwarzman Scholar Fellow

Bailey Johnson is a Schwarzman Scholars fellow at the National Committee, representing the 7th Schwarzman Scholars cohort. She holds a master’s degree in global affairs from Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University and a B.S. in Biology and Chinese Cultural Studies from the University of Mary Washington. 

Prior to joining the National Committee in 2023, Ms. Johnson started her career as a cancer research fellow at the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute. Ms. Johnson has always been passionate about the promotion and accessibility of health. She served the various public health department committees and boards to advocate for affordable healthcare services, health education, and minority health. Most recently, Ms. Johnson worked in partnership with China Center for Disease Control, helping to promote international collaboration for all issues related to global public health through journal and manuscript publishing.

Her interests lie at the intersection of China affairs, health, diplomacy, and improving health strategies.
