Program Associate
Vishwaa Sofat is a Program Associate supporting each of the eight Track II dialogues that are organized by the National Committee. In addition, he works on public programs relating to economics, business, and trade as well as science and technology.
Before joining the National Committee, he interned with the State Department’s Office of China Coordination, the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders, and for three members of Congress across both the House and Senate. A proud native of NYC, Vishwaa was previously appointed to serve on Community Board 1 by Council Member Margaret Chin.
Vishwaa is a Schwarzman Scholar with an MMS in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Berkeley with a BA in Political Science and a BA in Science, Technology & Society.
