PRC Ambassador to the United States Qin Gang presented the U.S.-China Friendship Envoy Award to National Committee on U.S.-China Relations President Stephen Orlins on December 6, 2022 in Chicago. In his presentation, Ambassador Qin, now Foreign Minister, discussed his longtime relationship with Mr. Orlins. Mr. Orlins also offered remarks on the state of the U.S.-China relationship. The award, whose prior recipients include former U.S. Ambassador to China Terry Branstad, was presented at the 2022 China General Chamber of Commerce Chicago gala event.
