The National Committee on U.S.-China Relations is proud to honor Dr. Albert Bourla, chairman and chief executive officer of Pfizer, at its annual Gala Dinner on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, in New York City.
The evening will begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy a performance by acclaimed artists Abigail Washburn and Wu Fei, who blend American old-time music with traditional Chinese folksong, as well as remarks from NCUSCR Chair and former U.S. Trade Representative Charlene Barshefsky, NCUSCR President Stephen Orlins, and a representative of the People’s Republic of China to the United States.
In addition to celebrating the National Committee’s role in advancing the U.S.-China relationship, each NCUSCR Gala Dinner recognizes a leader in the bilateral relationship. Under Dr. Bourla’s leadership, Pfizer has driven groundbreaking scientific innovation and strengthened its commitment to equitable global healthcare, all in pursuit of its purpose: breakthroughs that change patients’ lives. In China, Pfizer has operated for over three decades and across more than 300 cities. At a time when the bilateral relationship is complex, healthcare remains a vital area of shared interest. Dr. Bourla’s numerous achievements and contributions have been instrumental in advancing NCUSCR’s mission.
